'We will miss this house which has been our home for the last ten years. Being a Victorian building with high ceilings and plenty of space it has been ideal for us - particularly with boisterous young children. When we originally bought the house we didn’t know about the green space that extends for miles (the Clough) and can be accessed from the end of our road. There is a strong community on Gardner Road and we have enjoyed the regular street parties. Not being car-owners we make extensive use of public transport. The tram system which is 10 minutes’ walk away gives us quick access to many parts of Manchester.
